Shot Theory helps filmmakers understand how a reference video was constructed. It translates shots, cinematography, pacing, movement, transitions, sound design, and editing choices into practical production guidance.

We are not building an AI video generator. The filmmaker remains fully involved: their camera, footage, concept, creative decisions, and edit. Shot Theory exists to make creators more capable—not remove them from the process.

Our goal is simple: help you study the technique, understand why it works, and apply that knowledge to something genuinely yours.
